NEW GRANT SUCCESS INTENDED FOR RUNNING A BLACK AND MINORITY ETHNIC PROJECT IN LOWESTOFT!

JUMP has managed to successfully secure a £34,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fair Share Trust, after recognising and identifying the specific needs and issues of the young BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) communities in Lowestoft & Waveney.

The grant will be used for running an exclusive project targeting young BME people, between the ages of 13 to 25.

Following on from Suffolk County Councils announcement that all local youth clubs will be closed and divested, local youth charity JUMP has announced its support to doing everything possible to ensure local young people don’t loose vital youth services and safe places to go.

JUMP delivers one to one mentoring to vulnerable young people aged 13 – 25 years along with offering a drop in service where all young people can access help and support from qualified mentors in a safe and controlled environment.

Jumping For Joy After Lottery Fund Grant Success!

JUMP is pleased to announce we have been awarded a fantastic £487,191 from the BIG Lottery Young People's Fund 2.

We will be using the fund to recruit more staff and volunteers, relocate to a new larger premises, offer more mentoring sessions and open a drop-in centre for young people. We will update you with details about our new service shortly!

A LOWESTOFT charity, which helps youngsters get their lives back on track, is celebrating landing a prestigious award.

Just a couple of months ago, Jump - which stands for Junior2adult Unbiased Mentoring Project - officially unveiled its new headquarters in London Road North after securing a £487,000 Big Lottery grant.
