NEW GRANT SUCCESS INTENDED FOR RUNNING A BLACK AND MINORITY ETHNIC PROJECT IN LOWESTOFT!
JUMP has managed to successfully secure a £34,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fair Share Trust, after recognising and identifying the specific needs and issues of the young BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) communities in Lowestoft & Waveney.
The grant will be used for running an exclusive project targeting young BME people, between the ages of 13 to 25.
It's main aims and objectives will be to mentor and equip young people from the BME communities with life skills; create and run a young BME support group; deliver accredited training and educate young people in schools on the issues that might affect them, including racism, bullying and social exclusion.
